MAGIC, or Musicians & Artists Giving In Collaboration, for Music Therapy is a charity event to raise funds for the Music Therapy Program at St. Louis Children's Hospital. This program has been around for 7 years and spearheaded by Christy Merrell. Sadly, Christy is the only music therapist on staff due to the lack of funding for this fantastic program. Music, as we all know and have experienced personally, truly does change and save lives. Her music therapy program helps kids regain motor function, speech, memory and improves over all self esteem, mood, environment and coping skills for these children during their darkest times.
Working in conjunction with some of St. Louis's best musicians, artists and performers, with donations from local establishments and astounding support from the community itself--- This event is sure to bring MAGIC to the children that need it most!!
