Create your own abstract mixed-media art inspired by the exhibit Tom Hackney: Corresponding Squares: Painting the Chess Games of Marcel Duchamp. Explore the grid, chess notation, and color symbolism as you create your canvas. Enjoy snacks and a colorful cocktail inspired by the work of artist, Tom Hackney.
The workshop will be lead by local artist Eugenia Alexander. Her recent solo show at SOHA gallery focused on “geometric storytelling”. Alexander will assist you in the process of interpreting stories through patterns, shapes and color.
