As part of Fringe Fest St. Louis, Sayer Johnson, Kelly Hamilton and Jarek Steele present 60 minutes of storytelling about masculinity and the human experience as seen through the lens of transgender men β and how it rarely means the same thing to each person.
Throughout this program, the storytellers will unveil and explore truths about learning to be men with female histories and encourage the audience to rethink their own experiences with gender and sexuality.
This is not meant to be a catch all explanation or a "trans 101," but an artful exploration of the subject.
These stories will be intimate and challenging. Please consider the subject matter before bringing children.
Sayer Johnson is a co-founder and Executive Director of the Metro Trans Umbrella Group (MTUG). Sayerβs voice weaves together expansive queer community space with intimate connection. He has appeared at Second Tuesdays and other community storytelling events.
