Loved it until..
I've been to this club a few times and have always enjoyed it. Last night I went to pride fest and to see jinkx monsoon. When I came back towards the stage I found an open spot at the side and stood there instead of fighting my way back to my previous spot. While I was there, one of the African American bouncers came up and slapped/grabbed my ass. I normally would just brush it off as an accident but he went to another Bouncer and started joking about it loud enough for me to hear. That made me feel super uncomfortable so I told a bartender who did not seem one bit surprised that it happened and got the owner for me. When I told the owner, she was very unconcerned and called the Bouncer over to let him know. When he denied it she shrugged it off and said well he knows now. Through out the rest of the night, he continued to glare at me and talk to the previous Bouncer about it and even pulled some of the other workers aside to tell them about the entire situation. In front of me. While gesturing at me rudely. The situation was handled extremely poorly on the owners part and I feel more uncomfortable about returning than I had previously. I will not be returning while that Bouncer is still employed there now.
IN LOVE WITH THIS PLACE!!
seriously this is the place to go for a good time. My friends say the drinks are to pricey but just drink a lil before. The shows are epic the queens and kings are awesome at what they do. It's a comfortable envorment no one has ever been rude towards me or anyone i know. My first time there people came up to me and a friend started talking to us randomly and hugged us. People do not judge you here.
Has changed a lot with Glitter Bomb there now.
In the past this bar got a bad name but in the past year it's done a 180. They have the best drag shows thurs-fri, with a burlesque show every last Saturday of the month. It's very clean and the bartenders are always nice. It does get ghetto on "Hip Hop Night" on Thursdays but other than that it's a cute 18+ club.
Not just lesbians
Its a mixed crowd with equal guys and girls. Nice place. Decent prices. Bartenders are slow. Drag show on Friday nights, then dancing... 18+ allowed! Smokers patio in rear past restroom.
Avoid this place like the plaque
The owner/mangement hate men. They asked for a friend of mine to leave because they said his shorts were too short for their taste (daisy dukes). Never mind the drugs people were using in the bathroom which by the way, got them closed down for a month a few years ago. I wouldn't cry if they went out of business. Their attitude is hypocritical, they forgot there's an M and T in GLBT.
