Great place to hang out

JJ's is a great place to hang out with friends and family. There is a great new DJ in the clubhouse on the weekends and the bartenders are friendly and welcoming. The owners are also two of the best guys in the business and treat there staff well contrary to a previous post. Let's be honest they still have two of the best bartenders in St Louis working for them and have since the opening of the bar.

messed up

Have been in a few times and some staff can be ok and friendly some not so friendly but the biggest problem is the owners.. With my observation in the few times i have been in one of the owners is a total d-bag. Several times I have seen him yell at the employees or talk about how useless and worthless they are IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS and he expects them to keep a smile on their face and make him money. But if you are wanting free drinks all night kiss the owners butt and blow smoke up there and you will have a good time. This place can not figure if they are a leather bar, a dance bar, a bear bar or what. Sound system in the dance area sucks and so does the dj

Good place, good guys

OK, all in all i had a pretty disappointing experience. When i rejected a guy because all he was doing was insulting me he made a scene and punched me in the chest three times (although even this didn't make him leave me alone) i was disappointed more than anything because i really, really wanted to meet someone nice to bring someone back to my hotel. I'm giving this place a positive review because the bar has two separate areas if you feel like dancing or a quieter setting. Drinks were standard but cheep, but the staff was excellent my can took forever after closing so i got a chance to chat quite a bit with several of them. I will definitely go back next time I'm in town.

Comfort, charm and lots of great men!

I stopped on in at this club that my friend, Rich, works in and was pleasantly surprised. Me, being a transgendered woman and knowing nothing about the "Bear" scene at all. I didn't know what to expect. To my surprise? I found the most kind, inviting and charming men. I thought that I might not be welcome but it was completely the opposite. I was made to feel not only welcome but secure in the company of all these awesome and gentle guys. I want to express my appreciation to my friend Rich who works here and has all these guys that seem more like family than bar patrons. There is something very special about this bar and the people who come here.Thank you all for making me feel so welcome and I will never forget my time with you. Christine

Weekends

Weekends are the busiest, especially Saturday nights. The "clubhouse", back bar, DJ booth and dance floor are open that make this bar much bigger. Sunday nights are also open in the Clubhouse with drink specials. During the week, you never know what the crowd is going to be, so always just stop by and hang out for a while and find out!
